Excessive - Fees, Penalties, Closing
Costs, "Added" Charges
This Type of Fraud is Massive and
Nationwide
There are many types of fraud regarding
home mortgages.
Many mortgage companies are engaged in
illegal actions, such as adding illegal
fees and expenses to past-due accounts,
not posting payments that are made on a
mortgage, and foreclosing on homes that
should not be in foreclosure.
Some mortgage companies are adding
additional "attorney fees" or "case
expenses" to homeowners mortgages after
the homeowner has successfully completed
a bankruptcy case under Chapter 13 and
received a discharge. These fees can
range anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000.
Contact me if you receive a letter from
your mortgage company a few months after
successfully completing your Chapter 13
bankruptcy plan adding charges onto your
mortgage!
