The most
pathetic corporations in America are "debt negotiators" or
"debt consolidators". They are required to follow the
federal law spelled out in the Credit Repair Organizations
Act (CROA). As you can guess, they DO NOT follow the
law.
WHAT THEY DO
These
corporations do nothing that you cannot do on your own.
They "hold" your money until you are several years in
default and then try to negotiate with your creditors.
I have had SEVERAL clients who had to file bankruptcy
because the credit card companies WILL NOT WORK WITH THESE
organizations! Do NOT be mislead!!
HOW THEY STEAL
These
companies charge "upfront" fees and monthly charges (as well
as bank charges) which they are not allowed to do.
They cannot collect fees until they provide services (which
they don't until right before you are about to be sued when
they give you a bogus "letter" to tell your creditors they
are representing you).
DON'T
FALL FOR IT.
